You must be thinking it's impossible to blog while at work. Yes, today is exceptional case as my office has man-made power down due to the negligence of management to ignore the electricity bill. I can't access to my saved files and print. There's just no words to describe how the people do things here!
It has been some time I last updated anything on the ringing bell. Dad is a man with less word and completely open and acceptable to many things. In short, some of my friends describe my dad as an "OK Dad" as he basically agrees to everything. Being very new in this case, I asked dad on the wedding plan like what's next. For this moment, it will be choosing a date.
I prefer 26th Jan as it is same with our anniversary date. But January will be a bit rushing as we will only get our house key by Aug this year. It's no point to rush things because of the date. After given some thoughts, we stick to 25th May. So far, that's the only thing we've done for the planning.
We've seen some places for reception but have not come to a conclusion yet. I was pretty occupied with work in the weekends that I've totally put these on hold.
Although it is excited and looking forward to the next stage of life, but I must admit that I do feel uncertainty when I thought of the challenges that I will be facing. The initial preparations itself already causes us to have some disagreements. I wouldn't dare to think of the pending long list. And we've not talk about the culture and expectation differences.
I don't know how the rest of my friends did to make a memorable wedding, it may look memorable on the surface though and probably they came to face many challenges. Dream wedding to me does not exist unless you have tones of money to spend. I feel that the wedding is just a symbolic event but the real challenge is the marriage, how 2 people come together, respect one another, sacrifices made, come to an understanding and how each other share their faith. I pray that we may be able to build a strong faith marriage life.
