Belated Celeb

I was surprised when Mel called me on Friday to check whether am I free on Sunday night. The Wednesday Grp wanted to have a belated birthday celebration for me. I was feeling so shy as they had all sent me wishes to me & I had my celeb with Mel & at the same time, I was feeling happy that I have such thoughtful friends around me.

So since it’s a belated, I just thought of
gathering over a simple meal would be nice. So I told Mel "no eight-course like last year" as eight-course is over too class for a simple gathering. I was surprised that they had chosen Ying Ker Lou, a Chinese restaurant where I know they are very famous for their Hakka cuisine. It is also a restaurant that my friend once told me she wanted to bring me there for a nice meal but we didn’t make it. So, it’s my first time dinning there.

To my amazement, I was treated like an empress on Sunday night. The dishes served were really a lot! I was stunned looking at the dishes displayed nicely right in front of me. There were also my favourites too. After the dinner, I was treated like a celebrity with all the cameras posing at me. But I’m only Katherine Fam S.L! I was feeling shy and speechless.

Looking back, it was a lovely gathering. I felt the presence of each one of us. I felt unity and strong friendship bond that we’ve built. It all made possible through God. I experienced the gift of friendship and love that God has showered me.

Thank you so much for the lovely dinner and the laughter we had shared.
