Isabelle Has Arrived

As scheduled, we went to the hospital on 26 Nov 2014 to be induced. My last freedom meal before confinement was dim sun and prawn mee at Melaka Baru Food court.

Doctor examined on more time and we were told that the chances of normal birth will be less as the cervix is not dilated at all and is still hard even the due date is here. Dr. Lim was quite disappointed and suggested us to consider for c-section. I was thinking to prolong to a week so that there are chances of normal birth.  But on the other hand, factors to be concerned as am anemic and there will be a very long labor even after induced.. This will cause distress to the baby.

So we opted for c-sec in the afternoon for the best of baby and me. I was worried as c-sec is considered a major operation from the book I read.

Then I was castrated and did the rest of the procedures. Daniel could not be in the operating theater and he only can accompanied me till the door to the operation unit. It was so cold and am being injected with anesthetic on the spine. I felt warmness traveled from my back right up to toe. It was comforting since I was shivering cold. Soon I realized I lost the lower body part as I can't feel or move my leg.

The operation was fast. After smelling some laser smell and the pushing of doctor's hand on my chest, Isabelle was taken out in 20 minutes. I heard loud cries but I couldn't touch her. The nurse showed me a while and then I stayed another 30 minutes for the stitches. Daniel witness Isabelle being cleaned up n dressed.

After the anesthetic worn off the pain came and I couldn't get out from bed. The next day they removed the castration and I was in pain to pee and facing difficultly. But thank God for Daniel for his encouragement n care. I was able to released normally and that was the time am able to carry Isabelle.

I thank God for His blessing that both of us were fine. Am blessed with so many family members and friends for their support and prayers.
