I have pride

I had an intercom call with my senior colleague (SC) awhile ago. It goes:

Kat: I'll proceed to get the Travel PA for the roadshows.
SC: Why so rush? You got the number of crew with you?
Kat: Yes. The only pending is the makeup artist & hair stylist.
SC: Do you have enough man power? You need help?
Kat: I'm not sure as things are still pending. I might need you guys' help on the 9th cos it's the first day of roadshow
SC: Why do we need to go on the event day?! You need our help? You can't do it alone? Oh ya, you'll have the new girl. Ask her to help.
Kat: (being patience) The new girl has yet experience in doing roadshow. I may still need your help.
SC: It's your job to train her since she doen't know. It's your duty.

I felt stupid, fallen into the same mistake for the second time. It's so sarcastic. First, you ask me such a nice tone whether do I need help. Secondly, you mocked me! What is this? If you have no intention to help, don't ask!!

I have my own pride. I'll prove it to you that I can do it. I do not need your help. If things were to go downhill, let it be. I don't see that I have any responsibility to stand up for this company anymore! You guys are just a bunch of selfish old turkeys.
